It's 2015 already. Can't believe that a whole year has just passed by like that? Me neither. Honestly, I don't even remember half of the things that happened in 2014. Probably because it wasn't the best year, or maybe there's just nothing that's worth remembering.

I would do up an entire list of new year resolutions, but let's be real here. I don't stick to it. I never stick to it. So I shall just put it generally. Screw with the whole "new year, new me" bullshit. I used to be one of those people who are like that, but then I realised as I grew older, it's not really that important to change yourself. What's important is staying true to who you are, and being comfortable in your own skin. Sure, I might be extremely insecure at times, but I'm slowly learning how to love and embrace myself more. Like the saying goes, "If you can't even love yourself, how can someone else love you?". I've always been a really introverted person, one who doesn't like taking the initiative to communicate with people, and frankly, I see myself staying that way for a long time. It's just a part of me. I'm socially awkward, but I don't really think I'm that bad of a friend. My sarcasm might hurt people unknowingly, but please note that it's unintentional. Sarcasm is my only form of defense.

In this new year of 2015, I hope to just be as happy as I possibly can. Be open minded to people's opinions, and don't be too quick to judge.

“Words can break someone into a million pieces, but they can also put them back together. I hope you use yours for good, because the only words you’ll regret more than the ones left unsaid are the ones you use to intentionally hurt someone.” (Taylor Swift)

You could spend all of your days obsessing over what other people think of you and at some point or another we have all gone down this road. Everyone has an opinion but it doesn’t really matter because other people’s opinions shouldn’t affect what you are doing with your life. Your business is your business. The moment you begin to let other people’s thoughts and values start dictating how you live your own life, it is no longer yours. (Demi Lovato)
